My brother brought a canopy, just like the one pictured above, to our family reunion. It set up in a snap and offered us cover from the unexpected rain storm (deluge) that sneaked upon us. It held up wonderfully through the gusty winds too. We anchored the corners to our coolers and we all huddled underneath and completed our meal.
There are many kinds of canopies to choose from. Some have screens that can open and tie back, some have walls with doors and some are dome shaped. 
Most department stores sell canopies, and any camping equipment store will have a selection too. But my preferred way to purchase something like this is online. You can read other customers reviews and comparison shop.
